What is ACCESS ?
The Australian Community Development and Civil Society Strengthening Scheme (ACCESS) is an initiative of the Australian Government through the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID).
ACCESS has been operating since 2002, with the second Phase commencing in May 2008 for a five-year period.
ACCESS Phase II builds on the successes of ACCESS Phase I and emphasises the importance of building demand for better governance and building the capacity of local communities and civil society organisations.
